The Nest was absolutely incredible! The views of the stunning hills and fields were mind-blowing. The entry side with the beautiful flowers made for a jaw-dropping welcome. Inside, the place was super attractive, fresh, comfortable, and immaculate. We had all the gadgets and appliances we needed, plus the host's excellent collection of maps, guides, and books enhanced our exploration of the area. The welcome basket of tasty Devon treats, including scones and clotted cream, was the cherry on top. The location was perfect for exploring Devon in any direction, and the property itself was superbly presented with lovely treats provided by the hosts. The stunning views, secure gated driveway, and well-kept garden added to the overall charm. The Nest truly felt like a wonderful little home away from home, with every detail carefully thought out for a comfortable stay. The good insulation, fast WiFi, and nice views made it even better. We loved relaxing on the patio, watching the sheep and horse trotting about, and even had a friendly visit from the cat. It's honestly the best travel home we've ever stayed at. The natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings were awe-inspiring, while the coziness and cleanliness of the house felt like stepping into a fairytale. All necessary equipment was provided, including a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, coffee maker, and electric BBQ on the veranda with amazing sunset views. The owner, a charming lady, made us feel incredibly welcome with a breakfast basket, fresh milk, and Prosecco. The calendar marked with nearby events and the plethora of information in the house were such thoughtful touches. We highly recommend The Nest for an unforgettable stay.

Nested in a picturesque area ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, this cozy holiday home offered more than just a comfortable stay. Surrounded by lush greenery, I found myself indulging in activities like hiking and cycling, feeling as free as a bird exploring its nest. The highlight? The garden, equipped with a barbecue, where I grilled up a storm and enjoyed evenings under the stars. Truly a haven for nature lovers!
Dated main bathroom.

What a disappointment! The location was absolutely dreadful. Instead of being surrounded by nature and tranquility, we were bombarded with the noise of traffic passing by at all hours of the day. The so-called "beautiful countryside views" were nonexistent, replaced by a concrete jungle. It was far from the peaceful retreat we had hoped for.
To make matters worse, the accommodation was far from the fairytale experience we had anticipated. The cleanliness was seriously lacking, as we encountered dirty dishes and stained linens upon our arrival.

The Nest truly lives up to its name with a cozy garden that feels like a bird's nest, complete with a barbecue for delightful outdoor meals. As I grilled my dinner amidst the tranquil surroundings, I couldn't help but feel like a culinary artist painting delicious flavors on my plate.
Guttering needs some work.

Positive Review---
Honestly, there wasn't much I didn't like about The Nest in Modbury. If I had to pick one thing, I would say that the selection of TV channels was a bit limited for my taste.
